Google has included a theme feature in Gmail that allows users to have a personalized look. Aside from the various color and theme selections, you can now customize Gmail with your own background picture too.
Previously, you can only select from the different color and themes available in the settings but now you can personalize your Gmail account, the way you want it.
How personalize your Gmail account ?
Simply go to the "Settings", the gear icon at the upper right of the screen, choose "Themes" and to the option,
"Create Your Own Theme". Select a Picasa photo or upload your picture, as well as customize text and background colors.
