Light wrap is a compositing technique often used to allow a bright background element to seemingly affect the objects in the foreground by effectively wrapping light around their edges. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to create a custom light wrap using a number of simpler nodes, such as the keyer node for a luminance key, as well as blur and various merge operations. Using this technique, compositors can manipulate the amount and density of light with much greater control, and achieve lighting variations that can greatly improve the elements in their creations.
